The Triumph Daytona 660 completed its season in the inaugural FIM Sportbike World Championship today with Elia Bartolini (CM Triumph Factory Racing) and Harrison Dessoy (PHR Performance Triumph) both recording top-ten finishes in the final two races of 2026 at Circuito de Jerez.

The weekend started strong for PHR Performance’s Fenton Seabright, who slotted into eighth at the end of Friday practice, but Superpole proved tricky. After a brief red flag due to an incident involving Seabright’s machine, the Triumph cavalry ventured back out to the scorching Jerez circuit with the #73 rider securing 12th, Bruno Ieraci 16th, Dessoy 22nd and Bartolini 23rd for Saturday’s opening race.

Race one brought high hopes for the Triumph teams, but drama struck moments before lights out when another rider collided with Seabright on the warm up lap, resulting in a DNS for the British rider whilst Ieraci was forced to retire with a technical problem.

As the race got underway eyes were immediately on Dessoy and Bartolini who made scorching starts to cut through to the points paying positions early on. From lap four, the duo continued their rise through the ranks, muscling their way to the cusp of the top ten by the half-way stage.

Keeping his focus, Dessoy pushed on and worked his way through to seventh at the checkered flag whilst Bartolini followed his Triumph counterpart through the field to secure a tenth place finish in the opening Sportbike race of the weekend.

After a promising morning warm up to the final race day of the year, which saw Ieraci and Seabright first and second, expectations were high for a positive end to the 2026 campaign despite rain drops falling as the riders made their way to the grid.

Making a strong start, Fenton was up to 13th by the end of sector one and continued to push forwards, as too was Ieraci behind. But disaster struck the Triumph duo at Turn 13 as Ieraci made an error on the brakes whilst selecting gear, losing the front and taking an unfortunate Seabright down with him.

Meanwhile, a fierce battle was brewing at the front involving the title-contenders, giving both Dessoy and Bartolini a free pass into the battle for third. Catching the group with six laps to go, the CM Triumph Factory Racing rider battled his way to tenth by the start of the final tour and climbed another position on the final lap, concluding his season in ninth with Dessoy consolidating his 12th position in the standings.

In its first season of world competition, the Daytona 660 amassed a total of two race victories courtesy of Ieraci at Misano and Seabright at Magny-Cours and seven further podium finishes including two for Dessoy.

Seabright rounds out the season as top Triumph, finishing sixth in the standings with Ieraci tenth. Dessoy finished 12th overall with Bartolini 14th.

Triumph Motorcycles also secured second position in the manufacturers standings whilst PHR Performance Triumph secured fifth in the teams’ standings and CM Triumph Factory Racing in seventh.

Elia Bartolini - CM Triumph Factory Racing

“I’m happy for this weekend. Not too happy with the qualifying result but in the races we had a good pace and a good feeling with the Daytona 660 and finished in the top ten yesterday and today in the top nine, so two good results to end the year. Thank you to Triumph, CM Triumph Factory Racing and all my sponsors for this season."

Bruno Ieraci - CM Triumph Factory Racing

“Firstly, I am sorry to Fenton, PHR Performance and Triumph for today’s crash. Sadly I hit a neutral and I couldn’t stop and I crashed with Fenton. I’m really upset about this because I don’t want to take anyone out especially Fenton or another Triumph rider but also for the weekend because yesterday we also had a problem so I didn’t race. I wanted to finish the season better than this because we have had podiums and one win and secured a top ten in the standings overall.”

Fenton Seabright - PHR Performance Triumph

“It’s been a difficult end to the season and not one I had hoped for. After being taken out on the warm up lap yesterday to being taken out again on lap one at the final corner, it’s a tough pill to swallow. But, that aside, we need to take the positives and focus on those. It’s been a great season and one that delivered both mine and the PHR Performance Triumph’s first win in World Sportbike. It’s time to enjoy the winter and come back stronger in 2027 and fight for the title. A huge thanks to all involved."

Harrison Dessoy - PHR Performance Triumph

“That’s the year done! The weekend as a whole was tricky but we got two solid results. I think Friday hindered us and held us back in the two races but it is what it is. As an overall it’s been a fantastic season and opportunity to learn and race against the best in the world. I’ve taken steps in my riding and off the track as well which I’m really proud of. Thanks to Triumph, PHR Performance and all my sponsors and I can’t wait to go again next year.”
